11-13-25 Safety Update

Posted Date: 11/13/25 (2:35 PM)

Dear Fullerton Community, Parents, and Students,

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remains our highest priority, and we are committed to providing clear and accurate information about today’s events.

This afternoon, at approximately 1:30 p.m., three of our high schools, Fullerton Union High School, Sunny Hills High School, and Troy High School received phone calls reporting possible bomb threats. School administration at each site immediately notified the Fullerton Police Department. In accordance with established safety protocols, campuses were placed on a Shelter in Place or Lockdown, and students were either directed to their classrooms or relocated to a supervised outdoor area. In an abundance of caution, La Vista/La Sierra High Schools also implemented Shelter in Place procedures.

Fullerton Police officers are currently on all three campuses, working closely with our administrative teams to thoroughly assess the situation. At this time, it is not yet known whether the threats are credible, and investigations are actively underway.

We ask the community to avoid the areas surrounding the affected schools so officers and staff can focus fully on safety and their ongoing work.

We understand that situations like this are concerning. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and support as we work together to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

We will continue to provide updates as soon as additional verified information becomes available via direct communication, social media, and our website.
